Can the MetaMask wallet block your funds?

⚠️Why is MetaMask blocking possible for people from different regions? In fact, this is not a blocking by MetaMask, but a restriction by the node to which the wallet connects.
MetaMask makes requests through it to obtain information from the blockchain. When you receive information in your wallet about transactions, balance, then the request goes through this node address. A node is an intermediary between a wallet and a blockchain.
You can find the address of this node in MetaMask.
Settings > Networks > New RPC URL.

In our case, the owner of the Infura node is a centralized company that allows you to use its infrastructure to work with the blockchain on the Ethereum network and can restrict access from any person.
But this does not concern your funds in any way, but only connecting and receiving information about your wallet.
Any wallet is just an interface for interacting with private keys.
Private keys are used to sign spending transactions from your address.
If you use MetaMask, TrustWallet, Ledger, Trezor, and any crypto wallets where you own a mnemonic phrase (12 or 24 words) — then NOBODY can freeze your funds, remember.
If you suddenly encounter a limitation problem, there are two solutions:
1️⃣ Use vpn services with different ip addresses.
2️⃣ Add a new node address in the desired network from another service provider to the wallet. There are enough platforms that provide their nodes on the market. It will be possible to add new node data in your MetaMask in 2 clicks.
By the way, if you experience failures in any of the networks in the wallet, the problem will most likely be on the side of the service provider and replacing the node address will most likely help solve your problem.
